My main research and teaching interests are in fluvial geomorphology,focusing on past and present river environments: palaeoflood histories,river response to environmental change, including the impacts of past climate fluctuations (e.g Little Ice Age, the last glacial-interglacialtransition) and human activities (e.g. impacts of sediment-borne contaminants on fluvial systems).
